Eileen Lighthawk has been on a spiritual path for most of this incarnation. She sees creative expression as a natural by-product of consciously connecting to the Creative Source of All Life.
These paintings and photographic artworks are brought forward as an outgrowth of her personal desire to create more beauty, joy, peace and wholeness on the planet.
Private training with indigenous elders from North America and Tibet helped develop her understanding of the spiritual power of symbols and colors. University and other studies have given her insight into the visual languages of diverse cultures and the effects of various color and sound frequencies on human consciousness.
As a counselor, healer and spiritual teacher, Lighthawk has long been fascinated with the efficiency of image. "Color, line and form, individually and collectively, have the ability to transcend resistance, communicate a message, radiate energy, and evoke a resonant vibration in the viewer. "
The artist has been doing spiritual counseling and energy work with people for decades. As she works with a person, she receives images from her own guidance and from that individual's Higher Self, guides and angels. Long ago, she discovered that if she shared these images, people could more easily grasp and receive the healing and transformative energy the Source is offering. Over the years, Lighthawk's work has evolved from describing these images with words to simple line drawings to more elaborate sketches and original paintings.
With the Love and encouragement of her many friends, she now enjoys combining her wisdom, imagination, psycho-spiritual training and unusual abilities with her painting and photographic talent. Nicknamed 'The Artistic Mystic' by her friends, Lighthawk now shares the imagery she co-creates with a larger audience.
"This journey is about communication. There are plenty of people far more talented than I am. What makes this fun for me is that the work is evokative. Each piece acts as a transmittor, a radiator, a mirror of a higher reality. They are each little transformers that bless the space in which they're displayed and activate the people who adopt them. When I work, I pray, I meditate, and I ask that each image be embued with Spirit."
The results are paintings and photographs that speak to the viewer at a deep level: art on a mission, art from the heart, Art for Transformation.
